When developing a plan for the project Stephen wondered what a hypothetical special group inside Ford might have built as a R&#038;D test bed for the 1967 racing season. Inside the engine bay sits a 427 ci Ford SOHC big-block V8 built by Ed Pink Racing Engines and Stephen estimates it produces mid-600 horsepower. The engine uses four two-barrel Holley carburetors. Behind the engine sits a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ford_Toploader_transmission\">Ford Toploader<\/a> four-speed manual transmission going to a Speedway Engineering Super Max Quick Change rear end with 3.54 gears. The Fairlane won Best Ford Award at SEMA 2014 by a group of Ford designers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"610\" height=\"343\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UonisqLOnXo\"
