He finished work on it in 2009 and set out with a top speed of 130.838 mph. Then in its final year of competition reached a record speed of 165.735 mph. Between 2009 and 2013 Jeff set six Land Speed world records with his creation. Then in 2014 he moved on to another project and sold the car to photographer Peter Lik. The engine was upgraded with Arias 11:1 pistons, solid lifter cam, Oldsmobile racing harmonic balancer, custom intake with a pair of two-barrel carburetors. All this is good for 340 horsepower. Behind the engine sits a Borg Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission and 9&#8243; rear end with 2.73 gears. The front suspension has been sourced from a 1968 Chevy Van with a dropped axle narrowed to 11&#8243; and solid mounted. The rear suspension was taken from a 1973 Ford Thunderbird.<\/p>\n<p><a
