Chuckles Garage<\/a> attended the Shift Sector half-mile event in California with their Toyota race truck for testing before Bonneville. The goal was to start at the lowest boost pressure and slowly increase it. The team ran into several issues and managed a top speed of 173.8 mph. The project’s heart is a turbocharged 2JZ inline-six capable of 1,300 hp. Behind that is a Tilton four-disc clutch and 6XD six-speed sequential transmission sending power to a Winters quick-change rear end.
