Cleveland Power & Performance<\/a> was tasked with swapping the powertrain in this 1988 Pontiac Trans Am. Under the hood they installed a twin-turbo 3.6 L LF4 V6 from a 2016 Cadillac ATS-V<\/a>. The motor features lightweight titanium connecting rods, domed aluminum pistons, nodular iron main caps, baffled oil pan, and custom exhaust. Tuned by Tapout Tuning<\/a>, it made 511 hp and 502 lb-ft to the wheels at 19.9 psi (1.3 bar) of boost. Behind the motor is a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9-inch rear end. You can view more photos of the car’s progress in the build album<\/a>.<\/p>\n
