It started with his delivery van when the engine went out. Instead of rebuilding the factory engine he decided to swap in a 3.0 L Toyota 2JZ-GTE inline-six. It turned out so well that others wanted their van powered by a Japanese engine as well. For his daily driver he decided he wanted a German SUV with a Japanese engine. In 2015 he purchased a 2003 Volkswagen Touareg and began installing a 3.0 L 2JZ-GTE from a Toyota Aristo. Since the 1st generation Touareg was built to hold a either a 6.0 L W12 or 5.0 L V10 TDI the inline-six had plenty of room to fit. Since the SUV was converted to RWD the transfer case, front differntial and axles were removed. Everything else has been kept unmodified including the suspension, subframe, rear end, steering, cooling system, and AC. <\/p>\n<p><a
