Speedkore<\/a> set out to build the most advanced 1970 Charger in the world. The creation called “Ghost<\/a>” combines a modern powertrain and suspension with a lot of carbon fiber. <\/p>\n

The project starts with a custom chassis fabricated by Speedkore spec’d with a longer wheelbase and wider track. Up front is a Detroit Speed double A-arm front suspension with Brembo six-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors. In back Speedkore installed a custom diagonal 4-bar rear suspension with Brembo four-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors. <\/p>\n

Sitting on top of the chassis is Speedkore’s carbon fiber body. The carbon fiber is also used on the floor and wheel tubs. The body is covered in BASF Glasurit Alpine White paint and aluminum trim. In the front Speedkore installed a EVOD billet aluminum grill and Dapper Lightning LED headlights. The car rides on custom HRE wheels (19×9, 20×12) with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (265\/35, 345\/30). <\/p>\n

Lifting the carbon fiber hood reveals a supercharged 6.2 L Hellcat V8 flanked by custom exhaust headers. The motor’s 700+ hp is sent through a McLeod twin-disc clutch to a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. From there a Driveshaft Shop carbon fiber driveshaft turns a Strange 9-inch rear end with a GearFX center section. <\/p>\n

Speedkore also carried the composites to the interior. Inside there is a carbon fiber dash, door panels, and rear quarter-panel panels. The seats are covered in leather by Manda Marie<\/a> with carbon fiber backs. The Sparc Industries steering wheel is made from billet carbon and mounted on a Ididit steering column. Wrapped around the interior is a 14-point roll cage. <\/p>\n
