Steve Mirabelli<\/a> spent 18 months and 2300 hours building a custom Charger Daytona replica. The project started with a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat damaged by a falling tree with 8,700 miles on the odometer. Steve removed the Challenger’s body and installed a 1970 Dodge Charger body. He widened the Charger’s body 3 inches on each side. Steve widened a 1971 Charger hood and installed a SRT scoop. He also fabricated a custom widened Daytona nose and modified the rear aluminum wing. The classic looking car retains the supercharged 6.2 L Hellcat V8 making 707 hp (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque, eight-speed automatic transmission, and independent rear suspension, and Brembo brakes.
