It originally came with a 1.5 L inline-four and three-speed automatic transmission. Randy says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\">Car and Driver<\/a> tasked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.racingbeat.com\">Racing Beat<\/a> to swap another 1.5 L inline-four and three-speed automatic in the back of the car. Several months later Car and Driver swapped the powertrains again with 1.8 L inline-four motors and four-speed automatic transmissions.
