Unfortunately the engine block cracked in 2022 causing Nigel to rebuild the motor. Nigel took the opportunity to also make improvements. The motor received a new head, new stainless steel 1.5-inch diameter exhaust manifold, 3.5-inch turbo outlet elbow, larger 2.5-inch intercooler piping, and Toyosports intercooler. Another change was swapping from a Garrett G25-660 turbocharger to a G25-660 hybrid turbocharger. Last year Nigel and the Golf visited <a href=\"https:\/\/badger5.co.uk\">Badger5<\/a> for a dyno tune. At the end of the session the engine made 483 hp to the wheels on top boost.
