This 1982 Mercedes 500 SL convertible might have left the factory with a 5.0 L V8 but it now has a inline-six. The current motor is a Nissan L28 inline-six that has been increased to 3.1 L. The engine now runs a MoTeC fuel injection system and ECU. I wasn’t able to determine if the five-speed manual transmission was Mercedes or Nissan but since the rear end is a R200 LSD it probably safe to assume it’s a Nissan unit.<\/p>\n
