However the project really took a turn when purchased a 1991 Dodge 4WD diesel truck. He decided to swap the Dodge 4WD powertrain into the M37 truck. The classic Army truck is now powered by a 5.9 L Cummins 6BT turbodiesel inline-six. Behind that is a Getrag G360 five-speed manual transmission and transfer case. Torque is split between a Dana 60 front axle and Dana 70 rear axle with 4.11 ratios. The truck still rides on the factory M37 chassis with 37-inch tires.
