This would discourage many owners but not this builder. Instead he decide to go in a different direction and make a custom track monster. The factory 1493 cc engine (50-65 hp) was removed. In its place is a naturally aspirated 1.3 L Mazda 13B street ported two-rotor that produces around 170 hp. The uprights, brakes, and rear end are from a Miata. The suspension is a custom pushrod system developed by the owner using motorcycle shocks. Some serious fender flares were fabricated to cover the Hoosier slicks running off the much wider Miata track width. The owner even made his own steering wheel from wood and metal frame.<\/p>\n<p><a
