Several years ago a fire damaged a 2013 Nissan GTR owned by Tim Schmidt<\/a>. Instead of scrapping the car, Tim sent it to Stony Smith<\/a> at Oddball Kustoms<\/a> to create something unique. Stony removed the GTR body and shortened the floorpan by 13 inches. Over that he installed a 1974 Volkswagen Thing body. To combine the two, Stony fabricated a new front and several panels, widen the fenders, extend the lower body, moved the B-pillar rearward, and converted to two-door. Now the custom two-door convertible is powered by a twin-turbo VR38 V6 and AWD drivetrain. Watch all of Stony’s amazing work in the build series<\/a>. <\/p>\n
