On the dyno this monster turboed LS1 put out 1,067 horsepower and 980 pounds of torque. No telling what kind of boost currently the engine is running but I assume the engine has been heavily modified to handle 1k hp. The car&#8217;s weight comes in at 3,165 lbs with a 40\/60 weight bias.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/jalopnik.com\/assets\/resources\/2007\/10\/V7_Super_Coupe01a.jpg?w=1200\" alt=\"V7 Mid-engine Corvette\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Turbocharging is handled by a pair of Turbo Re-Source blueprinted 77mm turbochargers.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.maxchevy.com\/tech\/2007\/ii_11-twinturbo2\/MC-1107-V7UPDATE-5.jpg?w=1200\" alt=\"v7 turbos\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The good news is American Supercars is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corvetteflorida.com\/forums\/showthread.php?t=7824\">promising a 1966 Supercharged Mid-engine Droptop for SEMA 2008<\/a>.
