He started with a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dodge_Viper_(SR_II)\">2000 Dodge Viper<\/a> ACR powered by a 8.0 L V10 and BorgWarner T56 six-speed manual transmission. John swapped the V10 for a twin-turbo 3.0 L Hurricane inline-six that he converted to a single HPT 7175 turbocharger and air-to-air intercooler. The factory manual transmission was also swapped for a Stage 2 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission. On the dyno the combo made 846 hp and 706 lb-ft of torque on 29 psi of boost.
