Alpina created the unique BMW 328i (E36) with a 4.6 L &#8220;F2\/1&#8221; V8 based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BMW_M60\">4.0 L BMW M60 V8<\/a>. The motor features an Alpina-specific block cast by BMW with a custom crankshaft, oil pump, oil sump, and exhaust manifolds. The motor produces 333 hp (245 kW) and 470 Nm (346 lb-ft) of torque. Behind the V8 is a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential.
