Back then the little car was powered by a naturally aspirated 1.6 L inline-four from a Lada Niva producing 180 hp (132 kW). Tam\u00e1s eventually upgraded to a turbocharged 1.9 L BMW <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BMW_M44\">M44<\/a> inline-four. In 2024 the motor produced 340 hp (250 kW) but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@HillClimbMonsters\">HillClimb Monsters<\/a> states it&#8217;s now producing 420 hp (308 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft). Behind the motor is a six-speed sequential transmission.
