Nugget Garage<\/a> and their fourth-generation Toyota Supra are back on the dyno for the first time in three years. The red coupe is no longer powered by a 2JZ inline-six. Instead the team at Nugget Garage swapped a turbocharged Toyota 1UZ-FE V8 and Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Over the winter downtime the team installed a copper head gasket, fire-ring ported heads, custom valvetrain, and short-runner intake manifold. They also upgraded the remote-turbo system (turbo in back of car) to a Garrett GTX Gen1 88 mm turbocharger. Watch the Supra make 1002 hp (736 kW) on the hub dyno in the video below. <\/p>\n
