The sports car came from the factory with a 1.3 L <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mazda_Wankel_engine#13B-MSP_Renesis\">RENESIS 13B-MSP<\/a> two-rotor but is now powered by a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/GM_High_Feature_engine#LFX\">3.6 L LFX V6<\/a> and Aisin MV5 six-speed manual transmission from a fifth-generation Camaro. The rest of the drivetrain uses a one-piece aluminum driveshaft and Ford 8.8-inch rear end with an Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential. The RX-8&#8217;s suspension features upgraded sway bars, adjustable front upper control arms, Phase 2 Motortrend rear control arms, and Supermiata Xida coilovers with Swift 700 lb\/in springs in front and 450 lb\/in springs in rear. Up front the factory brakes were swapped to a Wilwood front big-brake kit with six-piston calipers. Those are covered by Enkei RPF1 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 275\/35 tires. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/engineswapdepot.com\/?attachment_id=145595\" rel=\"attachment
