Rex and Rhonda Satterfield’s 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air called \u201cElegant Lady\u201d won the 2026 Ridler Award thanks to the amazing work by Kool Kolors Rod & Customs<\/a> and Riffey\u2019s Hot Rods<\/a>. The convertible features a 7.0 L LS7 V8 built by Don Hardy Engines<\/a> with a 4.5 L Whipple supercharger. The motor’s 1,000 hp (735 kW) is sent through a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission to a 9-inch independent rear end. The Bel Air sits on an Art Morrison chassis with Kugel Komponents independent rear suspension and inboard disc brakes. The body is dropped three inches with a custom floor. Inside the wells are custom EVOD Industries wheels (19×12, 20×12).<\/p>\n
