NeoTokyo<\/a> is building a unique 1972 Jaguar E-type (Series 3) at their company in Tokyo, Japan. The company opted to swap the factory motor for a turbocharged 2JZ-GTE<\/a> inline-six. NeoTokyo is testing the 2JZ motor with a ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission and Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission. They are changing the exterior to look more like an E-Type Series 1. NeoTokyo 3D scanned the car and will be fabricating the cowl, doors, rear hatch, and bumpers out of carbon fiber.
