We have covered many Nissan 240SX\/Silvias running a 2JZ engine but what makes this S14 built by Caroline Racing so unique is its turbo setup. The 2JZ “under” this S14 hood is running four turbochargers. Alexi from Noriyaro explains the design as a custom compound setup. At lower RPM two smaller TD06-17C turbochargers begin to build boost. After a certain level the other bigger T88-34D turbochargers begin building more boost with the final goal being around 43 psi (3 bar). Custom headers direct the front three cylinder exhaust into one set of turbos (small\/large) and the back three cylinders direct exhaust into the other set. Alexi says the builder has no real goal for the car besides experimenting to see what can be done.<\/p>\n
