A Siemens electric motor designed for electric buses propels the Fairlane with a custom controller built by Scott Osborne at <a href=\"http:\/\/scottdrive.co.nz\/Products.html\">Scott Drive<\/a>. Above the electric motor is a custom 50 kWh battery pack holding 218 cells. The battery pack weighs 880 lb for a total vehicle weight of 4850 lb and a range of 74 miles (120 km). <\/p>\n<p><a
