The engine has been SAE-certified at 650 horsepower (485 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque (881 Nm) at 3,600 rpm.<\/p>\n<p>457 lb-ft just off idle<br \/>\n500 lb-ft @ 1,500 rpm<br \/>\n625 lb-ft @ 2,800 rpm<br \/>\n592 lb-ft @ 2,500 &#8211; 5,400 rpm<\/p>\n<p>That means just slightly over idle, this engine puts down more torque than most cars do at full RPM. The LT4 is the same size as the 6.2L LT1 and will find it&#8217;s first home in the 2015 Z06. It shares the same bore and stroke as the LT1 but uses low compression pistons to allow for supercharging. I expect to see a lot of fifth-gen engines being used in projects when GM starts selling crate versions.<\/p>\n<div
