The one they brought to SEMA 2014 was based on the 6.2L LS3 engine. The only modification to the block was replace the typical cam with a dummy one. But those heads are where the real magic happens. They are able to move more than 400 CFM of air on the intake side. Bangshift estimated it could make 900 horsepower naturally aspirated. Mercury Racing is still testing the engines for durability and looking for the golden number of 500 running hours or about 100,000 miles for land use. Mercury Racing already makes a 9.0L (552 ci) DOHC 4v V8 capable of 1,650 horsepower (1230 kW). So this seems like an extension of the lessons learned from that program.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/engineswapdepot.com\/?attachment_id=4920\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4920\"><img
