The project started by taking apart every piece of the 1961 Mercedes 190SL for a frame off restoration. Articles are claiming they used a SL600 for parts but the images off their own site keep showing a SL65. Either way they used a modern Mercedes for parts. The body was widened and lengthened to fit over the SL frame. The original 190SL came with a 1.9L I4 but that has been replaced by a twin turbo 6.0L V12 capable of at least 604 horsepower and 738 torque. It also appears most of the interior was replaced with the modern Mercedes&#8217; parts.<\/p>\n<p><a
