Gordon Tronson loves building hot rods with multiple engines. His previous project Double Trouble, a 1972 Ford Model T powered by two supercharged Ford 4.6L Modular V8s<\/a>, became world famous. Gordon raises the crazy level again with his newest project called Equadoline.<\/p>\n

\"1962<\/a><\/p>\n

The project started with a 1962 Ford Econoline truck with a inline-six engine. The back half of the truck was cut off and a custom tube chassis was built to accommodate the extra weight and length running four engines would present. The independent front suspension is sourced from a C7 Corvette with a custom steering rack.<\/p>\n

Power comes from four aluminum Ford 4.6 L modular V8s with each running a Weiand Teflon 6:71 superchargers and a custom supercharger manifold. Each engine produces 1,000 horsepower on two Holley 4150 double pumper carburetors giving the truck a total of 4,000 horsepower. The two front engines are mechanically connected to the rear engines. The rear engines are connected via a Gates 90 mm by 14 mm Poly Chain GT Carbon belt to the C7 Corvette transaxle.<\/p>\n
