This is Jason Ferron’s R31 Skyline wagon he uses to compete in Australia. The car was previously powered by a 5.7 L LS1 with a T-56 six-speed transmission but Jason missed the feel of a turbo so he swapped it for something with less pistons but more pressure. The wagon now runs a 2.5 L Toyota 1JZ with Brian Crowers 264\/264 camshafts and a HyperGear ATR43G4SAT turbocharger. A combo good enough for 456 horsepower to the rear wheels running on 23 psi of boost and E85 fuel. Behind the engine sits a twin-plate clutch and R32 Skyline five-speed transmission connected via a JDI Fabrication bellhousing. The rear end is a Borg Warner that originally had 3.91 gears but was changed to 4.11 gears sourced from another wagon. Watch below as Jason slides his R31 wagon around the track.<\/p>\n
