The project started back in 2008 with an engine swap and since then Georges has modified many aspects of the car to improve its performance. Under the hood sits a 1.6 L Honda D16A9 inline-four taken from a 1988\u20131991 CR-X. The engine&#8217;s power has been slightly increased to 136 horsepower thanks to a ported head and lightened\/balanced crankshaft. This is healthy increase over the factory 50 hp inline-four and for a car that only weighs 1,433 lb (650 kg). Georges clearly wanted to shift his own gears so he converted the Civic from auto to manual and installed a five-speed from a CR-X with a Quaife differential.
