In 2022 Skogen Racing sold their Ford Sierra Mk1. The car was powered by a turbocharged 2.5 L BMW M50 inline-six capable of 500 hp on 1.3 bar (18.8 psi) of boost and E85 fuel. When the Sierra went up for sale again in 2023, the team purchased it back. Over the winter Skogen Racing chose to rebuild the BMW inline-six for more power. After disassembly they noticed a crack in a cylinder. So they found another block and installed a stroker crankshaft, PPF forged rods (M50B28), 2.8 L pistons, copper ring head gasket, and ARP head bolts. The new goal is 600+ hp to the wheels.
