Chevy Cavalier with Two V6 Engines

Chevy Cavalier with twin 3.4 L V6 engines

When the owner of this second generation Chevrolet Cavalier asked what he should do with another 3.4 L V6 his son joked he should stick it in the back. Well he took that statement as more of a challenge than a joke. He began by cutting out a lot of sheet metal from the back of the car to install the entire subframe and powertrain from a fourth generation Pontiac Grand Prix. Although both engines are 3.4 L V6s they both run different fuel injection systems and automatic transmissions. After each transmission is shifted into drive both engines are run off a single throttle cable. On a Sloppy Mechanics dyno day in 2015 the front engine made 115 whp and the rear made 120 whp.
