USJ 4×4 built this custom 1989 Land Cruiser (60 series) at their company in Malaysia. The factory 4.0 L 12H-T inline-six and five-speed manual transmission was swapped for a 5.0 L 1GZ-FE V12 and six-speed automatic transmission from a Toyota Century. The rest of the drivetrain uses a Land Cruiser dual-range transfer case and 80 Series axles with locking differentials and 4.88 ratio. The Land Cruiser rides on a 60 Series chassis with a 4-link front and rear suspension. It also uses a 80 Series steering box, 7075 T6 aluminum links, 14-inch travel shocks, and Maxxis Trepadors 38.5-inch tires. USJ 4×4 is selling the Land Cruiser for RM305,000 or $70,000.

I wonder what it takes to import something like this from Malaysia.
It might be easy for off road only, but much harder if you tried to get it for on road use…
If it’s over 25 years old(which this is) it should be relatively easy to import I’d guess. Then it comes down to how strict your local laws are. Where I live engine swaps like this are legal so I’d have no problem registering it. Now, I wouldn’t want it, but that’s besides the point.
