Speed & Sound visited Joburg Auto Tech in Johannesburg, South Africa to interview Ally Sayed about his Toyota Corolla (KE70). Ally explains he wanted to build something different so he swapped a twin-turbo 3.0 L VR6 in the engine bay. The motor features forged pistons and rods, two Garrett GT30 turbochargers, six 2200 cc injectors, and flex-fuel system. Ally says the VR6 produces 400 hp (294 kW) on pump fuel and 9.1:1 compression. Behind the VR6 is a BMW seven-speed automatic transmission controlled by a MaxxECU. Listen to Ally explain how and why he built the Corolla in the video below.
