VW Karmann Ghia with a Supercharged LSx V8

This 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was built by Ricky Byrd from Texas. The car rides on a custom chassis with Mustang II front and custom rear suspension. The powertrain consists of a supercharged 6.0 L LS2 V8 that makes 500 horsepower to the wheels through a Mendola SDR5 five-speed transaxle. The car won Engineering and Best in Show awards at Holley LSFest 2010.

  1. Which headlights have you used for the conversion? At first glance they appear to be off a Mercedes E class, but those are a unit together with the indicator lights.
