This 1973 Saab Sonett III is for sale in New York, New York for $11,000. The car called “SonaBusa” was built by Darryl Carl at his former company Albany Speed Shop in 2012. The factory Ford Taunus V4 was replaced by a 1.3 L inline-four from a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. Darryl also converted it from FWD to RWD using a six-speed transmission connected to a 1980 Toyota Corolla rear end. It rides on a 4-link rear suspension with Wilwood disc brakes front and back.
Below are some older videos from AlbanySpeedShop YouTube channel recorded after it had been built.

That thing has, what, 17 inches of ground clearance??
Watching the videos it doesn’t seem all that high.
I know the black trim on the lower panels gives the illusion that it’s higher as well, at least from the side and in the darker photos.
Either way, this thing is pretty nifty, just needs some fender flares.
I’d love to but your 2 stroke Sonett motor ! Do you have it ?
