The owner of this Volvo 244 swapped the factory B21 inline-four to a twin-turbo 2.5 L 1JZ-GTE inline-six. The motor features two CT-12A turbochargers, factory ECU and wiring harness, Turbosmart blow-off valve, and PWR Aero II intercooler. Behind the motor sits a Toyota R154 five-speed manual transmission sending power through a 3-inch driveshaft to a Dana 30 rear end with a PowerTrax locking differential and 3.73 gears. The sedan rides on King lowering springs, Koni Sport shocks, DVS strut bar and adjustable panhard bar, and larger torque rods. Behind a set of 5th Gear Stealth 15×7-inch wheels are four-piston calipers in front and two-piston calipers both with vented/slotted rotors.
