This MG Metro 6R4 replica was built by Steve Denner in his UK garage. The custom race car sits on a tubular chassis and is powered by a 2.0 L K20A2 inline-four from a Civic Type R. The engine makes 450-500 horsepower thanks to a Garrett GTX3076R turbocharger and sends it through a Quaife sequential transmission.

Is it RWD or 4WD?
Great question. I assumed it was RWD while writing but after looking at my notes again, I don’t know for sure.
The car is rear wheel drive and took me 8 years to build. It is a handful to drive but massive fun.
Hi Stephen. Thanks for clarifying that. You did an amazing job.
Hi Stephen I love the way your 6r4 turned out, it’s beautiful. I’m trying to build a replica 6r4 myself and I can’t seem to find anyone to supply the panels. If you could help in any way I greatly appreciate it. I’m based in Enniskillen Northern Ireland.
Kind regards Chris
