While researching the Subaru powered VW Bus built Divers Street Rods I came across another unique project we first covered in 2009. This project involves a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado sitting on an Art Morrison chassis with air suspension. Under the hood is a 1,000 horsepower twin-turbo Duramax diesel V8 connected to an Allison six-speed transmission. It seems they still have some trim, chrome and interior work before it is completely finished but expect a lot of coverage when this one is done.

That is fuckin awesome I love that body style an that engine, nice job bro
This is definitely one that needs to be followed. Video when available.
I am following it and will have an update article when it is completed.
This building is the biggest purchase I’ve ever made. Tim Divers and his crew are fantastic! can’t hardly wait to get it back in my garage!
Congratulations. It is an amazing project. Who came up with the idea to use the Duramax engine?
I bought the car not knowing what I was really going to do with it? My son and I were sitting out back having a cigar one night and we thought about putting a diesel in it. I had bought A car from Jim Divers, and I thought maybe he could do something with it. He suggested putting a Duramax diesel with an Allison transmission! We went with it! Tim and I also decided because we love cigars to put a humidor and a humidor drawer in it! This car is one of 400 ever built. There are many people that love the idea. But there are a few that are really upset thinking we destroyed a perfectly good car. If you’re not living on the edge is Tim says you’re taking up too much space.
Great story. I am glad you did it and can’t wait for it to be finished.
Thanks for the interview. Keep up the good work.
G’day guys, 2015 is the last I can find on this amazing car, is there an update, maybe finished car somewhere that I can see it, thanks.
Kind regards
Michael.
