This 1981 Porsche 911 Targa was built by M.D. Brooks from Newport Beach, California. The factory motor was replaced with a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado 500 ci V8 which produces 517 horsepower and at least 600 lb-ft of torque. Maximum Torque Specialties built the fully balanced engine with Bulldog aluminum heads, upgraded camshaft, and small bore. Power goes to the rear wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic 425 three-speed automatic transaxle. The Targa body was chosen because the unibody provided more rigidity helping when sheet metal was removed to fit the large engine in the back. Read more about the project here.

Damn, I’m sure it must pull insanely, but the handling must have suffered pretty bad. All that weight trying to swing around from the rear.
Yeah it would be hell to turn tight but it would be a mean beast.
No the engine set up is lightier then the flat 6
the big block engine is ahead of the rear axle instead of the old oem flat 6 which was behind the front axle, this mitigates extra weight?
