This 1954 Chevy Bel Air was dropped off at The Roadster Shop to receive an upgrade on every system under the body. They first started off by removing the factory frame and installing a FAST TRACK IRS chassis made for Tri-Five Chevys. This gave the car a very strong foundation, lowered ride height, C6 Corvette spindle/hub assembly, and mounts to allow for a modern V8. They decided to go with a Magnuson supercharged 454 ci LSx built by Don Hardy Race Cars. I couldn’t find the estimated power but it should be producing between 650-800 horsepower. Behind the engine sits a Bowler upgraded 4L60E automatic transmission. As one might expect these upgrades have really increased the Chevy’s performance. Lynda Jacobs was able to take home a 1st place in the Hot Rod class at 2016 Goodguys Spring Lone Star Nationals.

  1. I love what he has done to this car,,, I wish I could get a ride along.
I am looking at a 1951 four door, thinking about the ultimate sleeper, so I could not go quite so low and would try to get regular looking steel wheels in 17 or 18 inch that OEM hubcaps would fit.

  2. I’m building a 54 with a LS3 with a LSA SuperCharge and BTR stage 1 cam kit.
With C-4 Corvette polished front suspension and a Currie Rear and triangulated 4 link rear and coil overs on 4 corners.
