This Lexus IS200 was built by Jaewoo Kim from Motor Klasse in South Korea. Although Lexus did produce a version of the IS200 with a 3G-SE it did not come to South Korea. Instead they received a version with a 2.0 L 1G-FE inline-six and four-speed automatic. So Jaewoo swapped in a 2.0 L 3S-GE BEAMS 5th-generation “black top” inline-four controlled by a AEM EMS-4 ECU. The engine has been stroked to 2.2 L thanks to a Toda stroker kit and was also upgraded with Toda cams and uprated valve springs. Helping the engine breath are individual throttle bodies from a Toyota AE111. Rounding out the drivetrain is a Toda lightweight flywheel and clutch, Toyota J160 six-speed manual transmission, and Altezza LSD with 4.3 gears.
