Angry Spider Racing is comprised of Rob Scott and Hannah Bickerstaff. Both of them build and then race their creations. Their newest race car is a Porsche 986 Boxster built to compete in BTRDA rallycross events. Most of the body panels have been replaced with lightweight carbon-kevlar and the roof is made from aluminum. The 2.5 L Porsche flat-six has been replaced with a 2.7 L Audi twin-turbo V6. Being controlled by a DTAFast S80 ECU the engine produces around 300 horsepower. The team hopes to build another engine for the next season with a 500 horsepower goal. The Audi engine bolted right up to the factory Porsche transaxle since they both use the same pattern.

wow thats a pretty awesome car!!! 😀
Ha ha. just googling myself and found this! 😀
Welcome. It is a very interesting car. So you are the owner/builder of the car?
yeah I am 😀
How is it going with the next engine (500 hp) build?
We’ve not made a start on the new engine yet. We have been doing a lot if testing and ironing out any flaws.
The dual mass flywheel didn’t hold up. The standard clutch just slipped like a bitch. We had cooling issues as the warm air from the rad couldn’t escape fast enough.
We did a Hillclimb in it, and it smashed the class record by 2 seconds!
