Kyle Mohan Racing (KMR) debuted their rebuilt Mazda RX-8 “Green Monster” for the 2024 Formula Drift season. In the engine bay is a turbocharged 20B three-rotor capable of 830-1000+ hp depending on boost level. KMR built the motor with Series 4 NA rotors, large street porting, oversized studs, electric water pump, dry sump, and twin-stage nitrous system. It burns E98 fuel through 1700 cc primary injectors and 2600 cc secondary injectors. Behind the motor is an Exedy triple-disc clutch and HGT five-speed sequential transmission sending power to a Winters quick-change rear end. The car rides on a Wisefab suspension with Megan Racing coilovers and BMW steering rack. KMR runs Vitour tires on XXR wheels (18×9, 18×10).
