Barry Blomquist has owned six C7 Corvettes, four C8 Corvettes, and several LSx-swapped hot rods. So when he purchased his second 1964 Corvette, it went to Roadster Shop for a complete makeover and modern powertrain. In the engine bay the company installed a naturally aspirated 6.2 L LT1 V8 crate motor capable of 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. The motor features forged steel crank, forged rods, aluminum pistons, nodular iron main caps, 242/244 camshaft, and custom exhaust headers. Behind the V8 is a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and 9-inch independent rear end. Everything is supported by a modified Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with a fully independent suspension and Baer Extreme six-piston calipers and 14-inch drilled/slotted rotors. The car rides on Forgeline RS6 centerlock wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires (295/30, 335/30). You can read more about this amazing Corvette at The Block or view more photos in the build album.
