1968 Charger with a 472 ci HEMI V8

1968 Charger with a 472 ci HEMI V8

Steve Strope and his company Pure Vision built this NASCAR-inspired 1968 Charger for car collector and land speed racer George Poteet. Under the hood is a 472 ci HEMI V8 built by Ray Barton Racing Engines capable of 600 hp. Behind that is a Kaiser Tremec five-speed manual transmission and 8.75-inch rear end. A set of Nudnik Muroc II wheels cover Wilwood six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors in front and four-piston calipers with 13-inch rotors in back. The simple race-inspired interior feature a sheet metal dash with Stewart Warner gauges, manually-operated headlight doors, and factory steering wheel. A custom chromoly roll cage protect the occupants.
