AS Performance brought their BMW 1 Series (E81) to RoDrag Racing event in Romania and set a personal best of 8.95 sec at 251 km/h (156 mph). The hatchback is no longer powered by a diesel inline-four. Instead it has a 3.0 L N57 diesel inline-six from a BMW 330d (E90) producing 900 hp (671 kW) and 1300 Nm (958 lb-ft) thanks to a compound-turbo system. Power is sent to all four wheels through a ZF 6HP28 six-speed automatic transmission and X-Drive AWD drivetrain.
