This 2011 Mercedes GLK350 originally came with a 3.5 L M272 V6. It is now powered by a 5.5 L M273 V8 from a 2010 Mercedes E550. The swap resulted in going from 268 hp (200 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) to 382 hp (285 kW) and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. The SUV also received a six-speed manual transmission from a 2008 Mercedes C300 with a LUK clutch and flywheel. To help control that increased power the front brakes were upgraded to a W221 Brembo brakes.
