Mazda RX-7 with a Viper V10

Clayton from Slightly MAD Customs spent 5000 hours and almost $100,000 building his dream car from a 1993 Mazda RX-7 shell. The car is now powered by a 8.3 L V10 and T-56 six-speed manual transmission from a 2006 Viper. The motor’s 500+ hp and 500+ lb-ft of torque is sent to a Ford 8.8-inch rear end with a 3.55 ratio, Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential, and custom axles. To get the powertrain to fit Clayton needed to fabricate a custom firewall, oil pan, intake, transmission tunnel, and exhaust with electronic cutouts. He also modified a LSx RX-7 front subframe and fabricated a custom rear subframe. On the outside Clayton installed a Shine Auto widebody, Tech2Motorsports carbon fiber hood, custom headlights and taillights, and a set of Advan GT 18×12-inch wheels. You can view the car’s full build on @V10Rx7 or on Clayton’s channel. Listen as Clayton discusses the car with TJ Lamb from Magnacars before driving it.
