Antti Holtinkoski took advantage of a frozen lake to test his recently completed Toyota Corolla (E110) race car. The small car is powered by a turbocharged 998 cc Toyota 1SZ-FE inline-four capable 301 hp (221 kW) at 8831 rpm and 298 Nm (219 lb-ft) at 5883 rpm to the hubs on E85 fuel. Antti’s motor features a cast iron block with 69 mm bore and 66.7 mm stroke, block girdle, forged rods, VVTi head, and large turbocharger. The motor is paired to a Motor Design Sweden MD5 Ultralight five-speed sequential transmission and Volvo 760/780 independent rear differential.
