AS Performance and their BMW 1 Series (E81) are ready for the European drag racing 2025 season. The team’s first stop was a dyno to tune the blue hatchback’s 3.0 L N57 turbodiesel inline-six swapped from a BMW 330d (E90). While there the inline-six made 825 hp (615 kW) and 1419 Nm (1046 lb-ft) of torque on 4.9 bar (71 psi) of boost and only diesel fuel. The motor is paired to a ZF 6HP six-speed automatic transmission and X-Drive AWD drivetrain. After the engine tune AS Performance traveled to EFR-Germany Dragraces in Brilon, Germany.
